Patricia Aguayo Bernal, representative of workers from the Federal Judiciary (PJF), has reported receiving death threats related to their resistance against the judicial reform.

“Several colleagues have received threatening phone calls, this is a fact we have reported, and investigations are underway. They are anonymous, obviously,” she explained.
After participating in a meeting with over 100 magistrates, judges, and staff from the 11 PJF locations in Mexico City, Aguayo Bernal condemned the extreme aggressiveness of the death threats.
However, she emphasized that they will not be “intimidated or deterred in any way because we are defending a just cause. We know there is discontent, even from the government, as we exhibit this unity and strength, showcasing the power of the Federal Judiciary.”
She added that the movement of workers opposing the judicial reform will proceed “with or without threats. We will not be intimidated.”
