2024 was filled with surprising hits and disappointing releases for Sony’s PlayStation division. While games like Helldivers 2 and Astro Bot received widespread acclaim, titles such as Concord struggled to gain traction among players and critics alike.
Despite a scarcity of first-party exclusives this year, third-party developers stepped in with a diverse array of games. Notable PS5-exclusive releases included Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Stellar Blade, both expected to launch on PC in 2025. Other essential titles, such as Metaphor: ReFantazio — our Game of the Year — Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and Silent Hill 2, also captivated audiences on the PlayStation platform.
