Tragic news from Maharashtra as a helicopter crash in Pune district on the morning of October 2, 2024, claimed the lives of three individuals, according to local police.
The helicopter, operated by a private aviation company, had taken off from the Oxford Golf Course helipad and was en route to Juhu in Mumbai when the incident occurred.
Initial reports indicate that the victims included two pilots and an engineer.
The crash happened at approximately 6:45 a.m. in a hilly area near Bavdhan, not far from the helipad, as detailed by police authorities.
“Three individuals have lost their lives in this tragic helicopter crash. Emergency response teams, along with fire department personnel, have arrived at the scene,” stated the Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner of Police.
Following the impact, the helicopter erupted into flames, as confirmed by authorities.
The cause of this devastating incident remains under investigation.
