Live recordings of two highly anticipated new songs by the iconic band The Cure are set to be released on eco-friendly vinyl on October 1. This marks the band’s first official music release in 16 years. The new tracks, titled “And Nothing Is Forever” and “I Can Never Say Goodbye,” have become fan favorites during live performances as frontman Robert Smith completes the follow-up to the 2008 album 4:13 Dream, rumored to be named Songs of a Lost World.
The release, titled Novembre: Live in France 2022, aims to make a positive impact on climate initiatives, with net profits supporting a prominent climate charity. Additionally, the first 100 out of 5,000 pressings will feature Robert Smith’s signature, adding to the collectible nature of this release.
"And Nothing Is Forever" was recorded live at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier on November 8, 2022, while “I Can Never Say Goodbye” was captured five days later during a performance at the Toulouse Zénith. This eco-conscious release utilizes sustainable vinyl production methods, significantly reducing electricity consumption compared to traditional manufacturing techniques. All records and packaging are made from highly recyclable materials, further emphasizing the band’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
