The Bug has officially joined Relapse Records to release his highly anticipated new album, Machine. This marks his first solo instrumental project, devoid of guest vocalists. The British producer, known for his innovative sound, is set to drop the LP on October 4. The album features lead singles “Buried (Your Life is Short)” and “Bodied (Send For the Hearse),” which are now available for listening.
Machine showcases the best of a series of EPs released throughout 2023 and 2024, as The Bug delves into what he describes as “floor weapons.” The album presents a unique sound that is both “ice cold and dystopian,” embracing the “atmospheric pressure and the joy of full-body assaults through oversized sound systems in intimate club settings.” Fans can look forward to an immersive auditory experience when the album debuts this fall.
