Jeeno Thitikul, a rising star in women’s golf from Thailand, kicked off her 2025 season with a remarkable victory at the Ladies European Tour PIF Saudi Ladies International tournament, securing a prize of $675,000.
The 21-year-old golfer from Ratchaburi, currently ranked fourth in the world, dominated the 54-hole tournament in Riyadh, finishing at an impressive 16-under par, four strokes ahead of South Korea’s Somi Lee.
England’s Annabell Fuller finished in third with a score of 11-under par, while Thailand’s former world No. 1, Ariya Jutanugarn, was part of a group of players each tied at 10-under.
“It feels like an early birthday present,” expressed Jeeno, who will celebrate her 22nd birthday on February 20. “It’s a really nice way to start the season.”
She concluded her final round with a score of three-under 69, adding to her opening rounds of 67 and an impressive eight-under 64—the lowest round of the event.
Jeeno last competed in the CME Group Tour Championship in 2024, where she also claimed victory and a record prize of $4 million, bringing her annual LPGA Tour earnings to $6.06 million.
The PIF Saudi Ladies International is one of the top-paying events in women’s golf, featuring a total purse of $5 million, sponsored by the Saudi government’s Public Investment Fund.
This victory continues the trend of success for Thai golfers, following Patty Tavatanakit’s championship win last year, which led to her victory at the Honda LPGA Thailand tournament the subsequent week.
Jeeno is set to return to the Siam Country Club Old Course in Pattaya to defend her title beginning February 20.
