Thailand has inaugurated a new one-stop shop designed to provide essential investment and visa services for foreign investors and expatriates.
On Monday, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra officially opened the Thailand Investment and Expat Services Centre (TIESC) located in the One Bangkok building, situated in the bustling Pathum Wan district, adjacent to Lumpini Park.
The centre occupies the 6th and 7th floors of the Parade Zone and represents a collaborative effort among the Board of Investment, Immigration Bureau, and Department of Employment, offering comprehensive investment, visa, and work permit services.
In her remarks, Prime Minister Shinawatra emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing investment through the adoption of modern technology and digital innovations.
Highlighting the shift in Thailand’s investment climate, she noted a significant surge in investor confidence, with 3,100 projects launched last year, amounting to 1.1 trillion baht—the highest in a decade.
TIESC aims to not only serve as a service centre but also as a cultural bridge, fostering opportunities and growth between Thailand and the global community.
Additionally, the Prime Minister expressed condolences to the families affected by recent earthquakes and reassured the public of the government’s capability to manage the crisis.
She affirmed that Thailand remains a secure destination for both investors and tourists.
