In a significant development for educational advancement, the President of Vishwa Hindi Parishad, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, praised the State government’s announcement on August 11 (Sunday) to allocate ₹50 crore for the establishment of a new Telugu University in Rajamahendravaram. He urged the government to honor former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, by naming the institution after him.
Dr. Lakshmi Prasad emphasized the historical importance of the Telugu University, which was envisioned by NTR, who served as its Chancellor. He expressed optimism that the establishment of both Telugu University and Ambedkar University in residual Andhra Pradesh would greatly benefit students eagerly awaiting these institutions.
Notably, 35 acres of land and suitable building facilities are already identified for the proposed Telugu University in Rajamahendravaram, paving the way for its swift development.
