ECNETNews, TORONTO, CANADA, January 28, 2025: Acclaimed actor and activist CCH Pounder has officially joined the Steering Group of the Cross Continental Forum (CCF), a significant global initiative by Caribbean TalesMedia Group. Pounder expressed her excitement, stating, “I had been talking about turning my eye towards the Caribbean, then I took on films with that theme or origin story. When CCF invited me to join, it felt like a natural fit. We want to elevate our stories.”
Scheduled for June 14–18, 2025, in the picturesque island of Barbados, the second Cross Continental Forum aims to foster co-productions between Black and global majority producers from Canada, the Caribbean, the UK, and Africa. This event is anticipated to become an essential annual gathering for industry leaders, storytellers, and innovators globally, supported by local media and investment initiatives.
CCF 2025 is now open for submissions from seasoned producers in Documentary, Feature Film, and TV Series eager to engage in this transformative experience.
“With the theme Decolonizing Co-Production, the CCF transcends being merely a film industry event—it aims to inspire joint ventures and stimulate economic opportunities that amplify underrepresented voices in the global film and television arena,” said the CEO of Caribbean TalesMedia Group. “By promoting cross-continental partnerships, the forum paves the way for high-quality content aimed at international audiences.”
