Six rat-hole miners have arrived at the rescue site in Nagarkurnool to assist in the operation to save eight workers trapped within the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel. An additional six miners are expected to join the rescue efforts later today.
Nagarkurnool District Collector B. Santosh has confirmed that two specialized rescue teams from the Army, alongside the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), are currently mobilizing machinery to cover the final 40 meters to reach those feared trapped following a tunnel roof collapse that occurred on Saturday.
