During an episode hosted by comedian Shane Gillis, the Canadian pop sensation showcased two tracks from her latest album, So Close to What: the high-energy “Sports Car” and the hauntingly beautiful “Dear God.” The first performance featured a dynamic male dance troupe, while the second brought a more introspective vibe.
McRae initially graced the Saturday Night Live stage in November 2023, performing tracks from her sophomore album, Think Later, including “Greedy” and “Grave.”
The 50th season of Saturday Night Live kicked off in September, and last night’s episode marked its first standard broadcast since January, when Timothée Chalamet took on hosting and musical duties. In the interim, the program aired two major specials, SNL50: The Homecoming Concert and SNL50: The Anniversary Special.
