St. Vincent has officially unveiled a Spanish-language version of her latest album, All Born Screaming, titled Todos Nacen Gritando. Collaborating closely with filmmaker and friend Alan Del Rio Ortiz, she translated the ten tracks from the original LP, making subtle adjustments for melodic flow. The lead single from the new album, “Hombre Roto,” is a Spanish rendition of "Broken Man."
Clark’s Spanish vocals were recorded over the foundation of the original album, which features notable contributions from musicians including Dave Grohl and Cate Le Bon.
Reflecting on her motivation to create Todos Nacen Gritando, Clark expressed how memorable performances in Mexico, South America, and the Primavera Barcelona festival in 2023 inspired her. She noted, "These audiences passionately sang every word in English, which moved me to consider: If they can sing along in another language, why can’t I meet them halfway?" With this in mind, she teamed up with Ortiz to ensure the lyrics maintained their essence while embracing the Spanish language. The outcome is Todos Nacen Gritando, a heartfelt tribute to the fans who inspired it.
