Recent internal data reveals that Squid Game’s second season accrued an impressive 68 million views worldwide within just four days of its premiere on December 26. This figure, derived from a staggering total of 487.6 million viewing hours over a runtime of 7 hours and 10 minutes, has set a new benchmark for the platform.
This new record surpasses the previous one-week viewership achievement held by Wednesday, which reached 50.1 million in 2022. Furthermore, Squid Game Season 2 has claimed a spot among Netflix’s top 10 shows of all time for non-English language content, currently holding seventh place shortly after its release.
The inaugural season of Squid Game accumulated 265.2 million views over its first 91 days, and if the current trajectory continues, Season 2 may reach this milestone even faster. Fans can also look forward to a third season, set to debut in 2025, which has already completed filming.
