Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) faced significant outflows for the third consecutive day on October 3, with total withdrawals amounting to $361.2 million during this period.
Data indicates that the 12 U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced net outflows of $54.13 million on October 3, following outflows of $91.76 million on the previous day.
The ARK 21Shares ARKB fund had the highest outflow with $57.97 million, marking its fourth consecutive day of declines, resulting in a staggering $212.1 million withdrawn in just this week. Fidelity’s FBTC followed closely with $37.21 million in outflows, despite seeing positive inflows earlier in the week.
In contrast, BlackRock’s IBIT, the largest spot Bitcoin ETF by total net assets, managed to secure $35.96 million in inflows, raising its total since launch to an impressive $21.5 billion.
Additionally, Bitwise’s BITB and Invesco’s BTCO recorded modest inflows of $2.65 million and $2.44 million, respectively, while the rest of the spot Bitcoin ETFs remained unchanged.
Total trading volume across the 12 Bitcoin ETFs saw a notable decrease, falling to $1.13 billion on October 3 from the previous day. Despite the recent outflows, these funds have collectively attained a net inflow of $18.47 billion since their inception. During the same period, Bitcoin (BTC) traded sideways at $61,213.
Spot Ether ETFs Experience $3.2 Million in Outflows
This outflow trend also affected U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs, which reported net daily outflows of $3.2 million. Grayscale’s ETHE led these outflows with $14.69 million departing the fund, followed by $587,090 in withdrawals from Fidelity’s FETH.
However, BlackRock’s Ethereum Trust ETHA helped offset some of these losses, recording $12.08 million in net inflows. The remaining six spot Ether ETFs held steady throughout the day.
Ether ETF trading volumes also dropped sharply, with the nine funds recording $115.66 million in volume on October 3, down from $197.82 million the prior day. Since their launch in July, these ETFs have experienced net outflows of $561.05 million. At press time, Ethereum (ETH) was trading at $2,381.
