Soneium, an Ethereum scaling solution, has successfully integrated the interoperability framework Hyperlane, empowering developers to create cross-chain decentralized applications (dApps) and token bridges.
Hyperlane is now operational on Soneium (SONY), an Ethereum layer-2 blockchain developed by Sony Group Corporation and Startale.
This integration marks a significant advancement in Soneium’s mission to equip its developers with essential tools for building and launching dApps. With Hyperlane’s cross-chain capabilities, developers on Soneium can seamlessly connect with other blockchains, expanding the horizons for their innovative projects.
Additionally, this announcement follows Soneium’s collaboration with Japan’s largest social network, LINE, to launch a series of mini-apps. With Hyperlane’s launch, developers of these apps can utilize cross-chain interoperability to connect their creations with various blockchain ecosystems.
Despite this positive development, Soneium’s token, SONY, has experienced a 17% decrease over the past 24 hours, currently trading at $0.00014 after a notable pullback from its January peak of $0.0007.
Hyperlane, originally known as Abacus Network, debuted in January 2022 with the aim of facilitating communication and message exchanges between different blockchains. This framework allows developers to construct cross-chain applications and token bridges, and supports a range of popular blockchains including Ethereum (ETH), Arbitrum (ARB), Optimism (OP), and more, alongside newer entries like Aleph Zero and Dogechain.
In addition to enabling cross-chain dApps, Hyperlane offers liquidity solutions to facilitate asset movement across blockchain networks, enhancing the overall functionality of the blockchain ecosystem.
