Samsung is reportedly nearing the completion of its highly anticipated smart glasses, codenamed Project HAEAN.
The company is finalizing specifications for the device, which now features a built-in display, marking a significant pivot from earlier plans that favored a display-free XR wearable.

The innovative glasses are designed to project visuals directly onto the lenses, displaying information or images directly within the user’s line of sight. They will also incorporate onboard speakers for audio feedback, aiming to deliver a hands-free, seamless experience that avoids the need for buttons or remotes.
Samsung first introduced the idea of smart glasses during its Unpacked event earlier this year, emphasizing a design philosophy that seeks to be as natural and unobtrusive as possible. The company aims to “tailor the experience to the human body,” although specifics on how this will be achieved remain scarce.
While initial leaks indicated that the device would lack a display, recent reports suggest Samsung has revised its approach. The glasses may feature integration with Google’s Gemini AI platform, potentially positioning Project HAEAN as a key contender in the competitive landscape of wearable AI technology.
Additionally, Samsung has confirmed plans to launch “Project Moohan,” its Android-powered XR headset, later this year.
Though there is no official launch date for HAEAN as of yet, sources indicate that Samsung is aiming for an unveiling of these XR smart glasses before the close of 2025.
