Slowdive Unveils Two New Versions of "Kisses" from Everything Is Alive
In an exciting update for fans, Slowdive has released two fresh renditions of their popular track "Kisses." The first comes from acclaimed British producer Daniel Avery, who has infused the original song with his unique remix style. The second version, titled "Kisses – Sky II," is a captivating reimagining by Grouper, enhancing the dreamy essence of the original.
Grouper’s Liz Harris expressed her enthusiasm about collaborating with Slowdive, stating, "Making music was only an idea in my head when I first fell in love with Slowdive. How surreal it is, all these years later, to work with them. This track was such a lush pop hit to start; I aimed to amplify the gauzy highs and dreamy textures, along with [Rachel Goswell’s] ethereal vocals, adding elements like tape, Wurlitzer, and space echo. It was a joy to create."
Though Slowdive is currently taking a break from touring, they have scheduled several North American shows for November. Fans eagerly await their live performances and the continued evolution of their sound.
