Sleater-Kinney has officially announced the release of an expanded edition of their latest album, Little Rope, set to debut on October 4. Titled Little Rope (Deluxe), this new version not only features the album’s original ten tracks but also introduces three additional songs recorded during the initial sessions: “This Time,” “Nothing to Lose,” and the brand new “Here Today.”
Accompanying this announcement is the unveiling of the music video for “Here Today,” produced by activist art collective In Decline. The black-and-white visuals poignantly project the song’s lyrics across the vibrant landscape of Los Angeles.
The deluxe edition also includes the Frayed Rope Sessions EP, which presents stripped-back versions of select tracks, along with live recordings of fan favorites such as “Hell,” “Say It Like You Mean It,” and “Needlessly Wild,” captured during a performance at the Forum in Melbourne, Australia.
Recently, Sleater-Kinney showcased Little Rope track “Say It Like You Mean It” on a popular late-night show and released a mini-documentary featuring band members Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker. Their previous album, 2021’s Path of Wellness, marked a significant chapter in their history, being their first studio release in 24 years without drummer Janet Weiss.
Stay tuned for more updates on Sleater-Kinney and their music as they continue to make waves in the industry.
