Gregor Brown is set to make his first Six Nations start for Scotland, taking position in the second row for the highly anticipated match against France in Paris this Saturday.
The 23-year-old forward from Glasgow, who debuted last summer, steps in for Jonny Gray, who will be on the bench during the Stade de France clash.
In another key change to the starting lineup, Matt Fagerson replaces the injured Jack Dempsey at No. 8. Co-captain Rory Darge has recovered from a hip injury sustained in last Saturday’s win over Wales and will reclaim his spot in the back row.
Edinburgh forwards Marshall Sykes and Ben Muncaster will join the squad as substitutes, marking their first appearances in the championship. They replace injured lock Sam Skinner, along with Glasgow backs Kyle Rowe and George Horne, who were sidelined from the squad entirely.
Although the Scots are no longer in contention for the title, they can still influence the championship’s outcome, as France needs a victory to clinch the silverware.
Scotland’s Starting Lineup: 15 Blair Kinghorn, 14 Darcy Graham, 13 Huw Jones, 12 Tom Jordan, 11 Duhan van der Merwe, 10 Finn Russell (co-capt), 9 Ben White; 1 Pierre Schoeman, 2 Dave Cherry, 3 Zander Fagerson, 4 Gregor Brown, 5 Grant Gilchrist, 6 Jamie Ritchie, 7 Rory Darge (co-capt), 8 Matt Dempsey.
