Tito Jackson, the beloved original member of the iconic Jackson 5 pop group and brother of the late Michael Jackson, has passed away at the age of 70, according to reports. An official cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Tito was known for his performances alongside brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, who sadly passed away in 2009. Just recently, he was in Munich for an upcoming performance with the group.
Steve Manning, a close family friend and former manager of the Jackson family, confirmed the news of Tito’s death on Monday. The announcement was also shared by his three sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson, who were part of the R’n’B/pop trio 3T in the 1990s. In a heartfelt message, they expressed their shock and sadness, stating, “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being. He will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us.”
