Mass Shooting in Las Cruces Park Injures Multiple Individuals
Las Cruces, N.M. – Authorities in Las Cruces, New Mexico, launched an investigation Saturday following a mass shooting that injured several people at a city park.
Police responded around 10 p.m. Friday to reports of gunfire at Young Park, where responding officers and emergency personnel discovered multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Victims were transported to local hospitals, including University Medical Center in El Paso.
As of now, the exact number of injured individuals and the severity of their injuries remain undisclosed.
Authorities have cordoned off the area surrounding the park while they continue their investigation to identify any suspects involved in the shooting.
Reports indicate that a family present at the scene expressed concerns about the fate of their relatives, although these claims have not been confirmed by police.
