A trial date has been set for Sean “Diddy” Combs in a significant federal case, with proceedings scheduled to commence on May 5, 2025. Judge Arun Subramanian will oversee the case, where Diddy faces serious charges including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for prostitution. Despite pleading not guilty, he remains in federal custody, with bail repeatedly denied due to concerns about witness safety.
In a new twist, Diddy’s attorney has accused the federal government of leaking a disturbing 2016 surveillance video that allegedly shows Diddy assaulting his former girlfriend, Casandra Elizabeth “Cassie” Ventura. According to Diddy’s legal team, this action appears to be an attempt by federal agents to tarnish his reputation. However, federal prosecutors have denied possessing the video prior to its release.
Alongside the criminal proceedings, Diddy is also facing a series of lawsuits alleging abuse. Notably, one lawsuit filed by Liza Gardner accuses him and singer Aaron Hall of a 1990 rape incident. Recently, Gardner has taken further legal action by re-filing her lawsuit in New Jersey federal court and amending it to include DeVanté Swing from the R&B group Jodeci as a defendant, claiming he played a role in facilitating the alleged assault.
