Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a wave of serious allegations, including rape and sexual assault, as new lawsuits emerged on Monday. These claims, filed in federal court in New York, involve two women and four men and span incidents from 1995 to 2021.
The unnamed plaintiffs assert that many of the alleged assaults occurred at parties hosted by Combs, often attended by high-profile celebrities and music artists. Lawyers representing Combs have firmly denied these allegations, asserting that he has never sexually assaulted anyone.
One of the accusations centers on a 16-year-old who attended a lavish party in the Hamptons in 1998. The individual recalls feeling excited to receive an invitation to this coveted event. During the gathering, he encountered Combs and began discussing aspirations in the music industry, only to allege that the conversation turned inappropriate when Combs demanded he undress.
In addition to this claim, another lawsuit details an incident involving a woman who alleges that Combs raped her in 2004 when she was a 19-year-old college student. The suit claims that after meeting Combs at a photoshoot, she was invited to a private party at his hotel, where she alleges he forcibly assaulted her despite her pleas for him to stop.
Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the plaintiffs, stated that he is working with over 100 individuals preparing to sue Combs for allegations including sexual assault, rape, and exploitation. Some of the alleged victims he represents are minors. He is pursuing the lawsuits under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, which enables victims to file claims for incidents that occurred in the past.
Buzbee expressed confidence in the cases, stating that they will proceed with additional filings in the coming weeks as more evidence is gathered. These recent lawsuits add to a growing number of claims against Combs, accusing him of various forms of sexual misconduct.
Currently, Combs is facing federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, with a tentative trial date set for May 5, 2025. He remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, following his arrest in mid-September. A request for bail was denied by a federal judge, who cited Combs as a potential flight risk.
