The highly anticipated 50th season of Saturday Night Live is set to kick off on September 28, with NBC unveiling the hosts and musical guests for the initial five episodes.
Opening the season on September 28, acclaimed actress Jean Smart will take the helm as host, while rising star Jelly Roll will perform as the musical guest—both making their debut on Saturday Night Live.
Following that, comedian Nate Bargatze returns as host on October 5, joined by renowned band Coldplay as the musical guests. Bargatze previously hosted the show in October of last year, while Coldplay showcased their hits “The Astronaut” and “Fix You” during a February appearance on the show.
On October 12, pop sensation Ariana Grande will step into the hosting role, marking her first time since 2016. She will be joined by legendary Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, who last graced the SNL stage in 1983.
The October 19 episode will feature Hollywood star Michael Keaton as host, with music sensation Billie Eilish returning to provide the musical entertainment, following her last performance on the show in December 2023.
Finally, on November 2, former cast member John Mulaney, who has a rich history with the show, will host the episode. The night will also spotlight breakout musical talent Chappell Roan.
