Coffee Stain Studios has announced the official launch of the 1.0 update for its popular sci-fi factory simulation game, Satisfactory, now fully available on PC. This significant update introduces new endgame content, enhanced customization options, and a comprehensive narrative experience. In an exciting development, the studio has also confirmed that a console version of the game is currently in the works.
While specific details regarding the console release, such as a timeline, remain unspecified, Coffee Stain Studios expressed its commitment to bringing “conveyor-belt goodness” to even more aspiring factory builders.
The 1.0 update arrives after five years in early access and eight years of overall development, during which over 5.5 million copies have been sold. Players can now access new endgame content in Tier 9 and Phase 5, utilizing Quantum Technology to transport goods off-planet via a space elevator, and complete the game’s Save The Day program.
New alien technologies enhance gameplay, allowing players to utilize portals for swift transportation and Dimensional Depots for efficient inventory management. These advancements open up a wealth of new possibilities, although they demand significant power.
Customization takes center stage in this update, with players able to enhance their factories with windows, fences, and fresh paint finishes. Additionally, there are new options for personalizing uniforms, helmets, and build guns.
The launch also introduces a fresh set of achievements, covering core milestones as well as rewards for exploration and even some lighthearted memes. However, it is noted that achievements will not be retroactively granted to players who achieved them before the update, as the 1.0 version modifies many aspects of game progression.
Coffee Stain Studios emphasized that the 1.0 release marks a monumental milestone rather than the conclusion of the game’s development journey. Satisfactory is now available on PC, offered through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
