The Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA) has entered into a significant partnership with the Indian Air Force (IAF) by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at providing financial support for IAF personnel and their families through scholarships.
Under this agreement, the children of IAF personnel who have lost their lives while in service will receive a full scholarship, which includes complimentary boarding and lodging. Additionally, candidates from both serving and retired IAF personnel families are eligible for 75% and 50% scholarships, respectively.
The MoU also outlines generous provisions for IAF officers seeking to pursue postgraduate programs, offering a full scholarship for those engaging in regular courses and a 50% scholarship for online programs, as well as opportunities for admission into various Ph.D. programs offered by the university.
Moreover, this agreement includes a provision for admissions at a 50% concession specifically for IAF airmen whose minimum educational qualification is a pass in Class XII or its equivalent, allowing them to pursue various undergraduate programs through online courses.
The MoU was officially signed by senior officials, solidifying a commitment to support the education of those connected to the Indian Air Force.
