Samsung recently held an event in New York City on Thursday, September 26, unveiling a suite of new technology products, including advanced tablets, a budget-friendly smartphone, and a feature-rich smartwatch.
The highly anticipated Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra were introduced, marking a shift in Samsung’s tablet strategy as the base model typically seen in previous lineups is absent this year.
Additionally, the event showcased the new Galaxy S24 FE, an affordable addition to the Galaxy S24 series launched earlier this year. Samsung also unveiled a new smartwatch boasting LTE capabilities.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and S10+
This year, Samsung introduces two main tablets: the Galaxy Tab S10+ with a 12.4-inch display and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra featuring a 14.6-inch screen. Notably, the new models do not utilize Qualcomm Snapdragon processors but are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipsets.
MediaTek, typically associated with budget devices, raises eyebrows as Samsung claims these new tablets deliver an 18% boost in CPU performance and a 28% enhancement in graphics capabilities compared to their predecessors.
Samsung has also integrated new AI features into the Book Cover keyboards, including a dedicated Galaxy AI key for seamless access to AI functionalities like Sketch-to-Image and Handwriting Help.
Both tablets promise long-lasting battery life in addition to super-fast charging capabilities. Early reviews will determine the validity of these claims.
In addition to their processing power, the Galaxy Tab S10 series includes an upgraded speaker system featuring AI-powered “Dialogue Boost,” which enhances voice clarity in audio and video playback. They will be available in stylish options of Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver, with prices starting at $999.99 for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and $1,199.99 for the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE LTE
The Galaxy Watch FE, initially introduced in June, will now include Galaxy AI features from the premium Galaxy Watch 7 series, providing users with personalized health insights. Additionally, the newly released LTE version allows users to make calls, send messages, and track health metrics independently from their smartphones.
This smartwatch will be available in classic colors: Black, Silver, and Pink Gold, with a starting price of $249.99.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE
For those seeking a more budget-conscious option within the Galaxy S24 series, the new Galaxy S24 FE may be the perfect fit. It features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, a robust 4,700 mAh battery, and is powered by an Exynos 2400 chipset. The smartphone includes a versatile camera system with a 50MP wide lens, an 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, alongside a 10MP selfie camera.
Moreover, the Galaxy S24 FE incorporates innovative Galaxy AI features such as Generative Edit and Portrait Studio, enhancing users’ photography experience. The Galaxy S24 FE is priced starting at $649.99 and will be available in four appealing colors: Blue, Mint, Gray, and Graphite.
All newly launched devices are available for pre-order, with the Galaxy Tab S10 series, Galaxy Watch FE LTE, and Galaxy S24 FE expected to ship on October 3.
