Medan, ECNETNews – A tragic incident occurred early Thursday morning, August 8, 2024, when a 16-year-old boy named Glen Hura was fatally wounded by an arrow during a brawl on Jalan Klambir V in Tanjung Gusta, Medan Helvetia, North Sumatra, at approximately 3:00 AM.
The violent clash involved two groups who resorted to throwing objects and using bows and arrows. “The arrow struck his right eye,” stated the Helvetia police chief in a written statement on Friday, August 9, 2024.
According to police, the fatal incident began when Glen became involved in the brawl, at which point another group fired an arrow that hit him in the eye.
Glen was immediately rushed to Haji Adam Malik General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.
The police quickly launched an investigation and apprehended two suspects, identified as RS (16) and MAH (15). Authorities also confiscated the weapon used in the attack. “We have secured the two suspects, RS and MAH,” confirmed the Helvetia police chief.
