The upcoming SCO summit is set to take place in Astana on July 3-4, marking the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. At the conclusion of this significant summit, China will assume the rotating chair of the SCO.
This summit is crucial in light of escalating geopolitical tensions, increasing US decoupling efforts that threaten global unity, and the West’s ongoing attempts to create rifts within the cooperation framework, analysts note.
Mongolia’s President U.Khurelsukh will be present at the summit as an observer. Since obtaining observer status in 2004, Mongolia has recognized the SCO as a key platform for multilateral collaboration and has consistently participated in the organization’s highest-level meetings.
