Ponnala Lakshmaiah, a prominent former minister and politician, has received an invitation to attend the 19th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, scheduled to take place in Monterrey, Mexico from September 18 to 21.
The summit, themed ‘Peace for Progress’, will feature panel discussions centered around critical issues such as economic development, social justice, and environmental sustainability, with Mr. Lakshmaiah actively engaged in these conversations.
A notable figure in Telangana’s political landscape, Mr. Lakshmaiah previously served as the first president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee and held ministerial positions in various Congress-led governments. Having joined the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) prior to the Assembly elections, he expressed his enthusiasm for participating in Youth-Track activities aimed at empowering the next generation of peace builders.
