The Nigeria Police Force has responded to public expectations regarding crime control, highlighting their ongoing efforts to combat criminal activities nationwide.
The Force Public Relations Officer emphasized the challenges faced by law enforcement in arresting all criminals simultaneously. “We can’t apprehend all the criminals at once,” he stated, urging the public to recognize the progress being made. He also mentioned, “At least appreciate us for the ones we have arrested. We arrest them daily, in large numbers.”
In response to a post featuring gunmen with substantial cash, the PRO reiterated the continuous efforts of the police and armed forces in addressing crime. He stated, “The armed forces and the police are trying their best. The efforts of security forces should be seen, noticed, and appreciated.”
The PRO stressed the importance of a collaborative approach to tackling insecurity in Nigeria, assuring the public of the force’s commitment to justice. “We need to focus on collective efforts and individual involvement in addressing insecurity and other vices in Nigeria. One thing is certain, no criminal will go unpunished,” he added.
