The Kaduna State Police Command has officially announced the implementation of the mandatory Third-Party Insurance Policy for motor vehicles, starting February 1, 2025.
In a statement released on Saturday, the police command highlighted that this enforcement aligns with the directive from the Inspector General of Police. Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad emphasized full compliance to enhance road safety and protect users from liabilities linked to accidents involving insured vehicles.
The police spokesperson reiterated the significance of this enforcement, stating it is crucial to ensure the safety of all road users and mitigate accident risks. Vehicle owners and motorists are strongly urged to secure valid Third-Party Insurance coverage promptly, as penalties will be imposed on those who fail to comply with this mandatory requirement.
The police are committed to safeguarding motorists and ensuring that everyone adheres to the Third-Party Insurance Policy. To avoid potential penalties, vehicle owners are advised to acquire insurance from accredited providers, ensuring they are adequately covered in the event of an accident.
