Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet with United States President Donald Trump on February 13, according to recent reports. This pivotal meeting comes shortly after the Ministry of External Affairs announced ongoing discussions regarding an early visit by Modi to the US.
This marks the first engagement between the two leaders following Trump’s re-election. A spokesperson from the Ministry of External Affairs indicated that efforts are underway to facilitate PM Modi’s timely visit to strengthen India-US relations, though specific dates are yet to be finalized.
Donald Trump took office as the 47th President of the United States on January 20. During Trump’s inauguration, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar represented India at the ceremony, conveying a letter from Prime Minister Modi to the newly sworn-in President.
