The recent Pen-O-Philia pen exhibition held by VHM’s Gallery in Vijayawada from September 20 to 22 drew a significant crowd of pen enthusiasts.
Approximately 1,000 visitors attended the exhibition, which featured pens from over 25 brands, with prices ranging from ₹50 to an impressive ₹2 lakh. The standout item was a limited edition Pelikan pen priced at ₹2.15 lakh, with only 888 pieces available globally. “We are proud to showcase one of these rare pieces,” a representative from VHM’s Gallery stated.
The exhibition marked the first of its kind for the store, which has been highlighting premium pens for the past five years. “Given the fantastic response, we plan to host this event annually moving forward,” the representative added.
The purpose of the expo was to educate the public about the diverse range of pens available and the unique craftsmanship behind them. “Each pen has its own story. While some are ideal for signing important documents, others serve everyday writing needs,” the representative explained.
During the event, nearly 200 pens were sold, priced between ₹200 and ₹35,000. “Collectible pens appeal to many. Pen enthusiasts recognize the value of premium items, using them for signatures and as part of their collections,” the representative noted.
Twelve representatives traveled from various parts of the country to showcase their brands at the expo. Although the items featured during the exhibition will no longer be available for immediate purchase, they can still be ordered through the store, ensuring continued access to these exclusive pens.
