Astronauts Embrace Olympic Spirit with Unique Zero-Gravity Games
NASA reports that astronauts are celebrating the Olympic spirit by hosting their own zero-gravity Olympics aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
In a recent video message, astronaut Matt Dominick extended his best wishes to athletes preparing for this year’s Olympic games, showcasing the camaraderie of space travelers.
The inspiring footage was filmed on the ISS, which orbits the Earth approximately every 90 minutes at an altitude of over 400 kilometers (about 250 miles) above the planet.
