While the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 rapidly approaches, new insights from the Nintendo Today app are shedding light on the console’s features. Recently, a noteworthy addition was revealed: a function that helps users locate a misplaced Joy-Con controller.
By accessing the Controllers icon in the main menu and selecting “Search For Controllers,” players can identify which Joy-Con has been lost. The selected controller will then vibrate and emit a ringing sound, easing the search process.
Since the early April Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo Today has shared multiple updates on the console, including details about customizable GL and GR buttons for the Pro Controller and binoculars featured in Mario Kart World. Additionally, the app announced a March 2027 release date for the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda.
The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will debut with an impressive lineup of games, featuring titles like Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, and enhanced versions of The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild and Tears Of The Kingdom. Gamers can also look forward to seeing classic Nintendo GameCube games, including The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Soul Calibur 2, offered exclusively on the Nintendo Switch Online service for Switch 2 users.
The official North American launch date for Nintendo Switch 2 is set for June 5.
