As the cryptocurrency market begins to show signs of recovery, the NFT sector is witnessing a considerable increase in volume and other key metrics. Here’s a brief overview:
- NFT sales volume jumped to $93 million from $77.6 million the previous week.
- The Ethereum (ETH) network has surpassed the Bitcoin (BTC) network in sales volume.
- The number of NFT buyers nearly doubled, rising from 263,804 to 494,666.
- The count of NFT sellers also saw a significant increase of 108%, now totaling 252,401.
Ethereum Takes the Lead over Bitcoin
Ethereum has taken the lead in NFT sales volume over the past week, overtaking Bitcoin’s consistent top position.
Ethereum’s NFT sales volume experienced a rise from $26.6 million last week to $33.4 million, marking a growth of over 30% at the time of reporting.
Bitcoin also saw a notable 36% increase, with its weekly sales volume at $21.6 million.
However, it is worth noting that $5.3 million of Ethereum’s sales volume is attributed to wash trading, considerably higher than Bitcoin’s $902,000 in wash trading.
Data indicates that Solana (SOL) remains firm in third place, mirroring last week’s standings, with a weekly NFT sales volume of $16.6 million.
Mythos Chain (MYTH) and Polygon (POL) claimed the next two spots in sales rankings, reporting $5.5 million and $3.9 million, respectively.
In terms of NFT buyers, Solana leads with an impressive 220% increase, now at 192,543 compared to last week’s 60,115.
DMarket Dominates Sales Rankings for Three Consecutive Weeks
For a third consecutive week, DMarket holds the top sales ranking with $5.2 million, although this reflects nearly a 30% decline from the previous week’s $8.02 million.
Uncategorized Ordinals follows closely in second place, achieving $4.86 million in sales and marking an impressive 1,800% increase over the last seven days.
