The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games concluded with Mongolian athletes achieving historic milestones. Although they did not secure gold medals, Mongolian Para athletes in athletics made significant strides, inspiring hope among over 111,000 individuals with disabilities in Mongolia.
Mongolia’s Paralympic Medal Achievements:
- Gold medal – U.Surenjav in Taekwondo, Women’s K44 category (52 kg)
- Silver medal – G.Bolor-Erdene in Taekwondo, Men’s K44 category (63 kg)
- Silver medal – Ts.Battulga in Athletics, Men’s Shot Put F40 category
- Silver medal – E.Sodnompiljee in Men’s Powerlifting (107 kg)
In a ceremony today, the President of Mongolia, U.Khurelsukh, honored the Olympic and Paralympic medalists with the nation’s highest state medals. The President of the Paralympic Committee, D.Nyamkhyu, was also recognized with the prestigious Sukhbaatar Order. Under his leadership, Mongolian athletes have achieved a remarkable tally of 2 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals in Paralympic competitions.
