Mongolia is set to celebrate the centenary of the Mongolian Women’s Federation in 2024 by hosting the World Women’s Forum in Ulaanbaatar on August 22-23. Under the leadership of President Khurelsukh Ukhnaagiin, the forum will emphasize women’s empowerment, gender equality, climate change, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event will include a variety of sessions, such as an opening session, plenary discussions, and six thematic workshops aimed at combating gender inequality while promoting women’s leadership as a crucial component in addressing global challenges.
Dignitaries from 19 countries, including state heads, legislative leaders, and ministers, will be present, alongside around 20 international organizations and prominent women leaders across business, sports, and the arts. Notable attendees include the President of Slovenia, Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, and high-ranking officials from various nations including the USA, Japan, France, and Australia.
