The Mongolian government is set to establish a pivotal Cross-Border Railway Agreement for the Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod railway, part of its ambitious portfolio of 14 mega projects. A related bill has been submitted to Parliament for approval. The Cabinet has assigned the responsibility of signing this agreement to Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Ts.Tuvaan and Minister of Road and Transportation B.Delgersaikhan, with the signing scheduled for today, February 14, 2025.
This significant development coincides with a working visit by Mongolian Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene to the People’s Republic of China. During this visit, the Prime Minister is expected to meet with Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of China.
Additionally, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene will participate in the closing ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games “Harbin-2025,” taking place in Harbin, China.
