With the highly anticipated A Minecraft Movie set to hit theaters on April 4, Minecraft is rolling out a wealth of new content to coincide with the release. Fans can expect exciting downloadable content inspired by the film, along with a special live event and a complimentary skins pack that allows players to embody characters from the movie.
The live event immerses players in a unique Minecraft realm known as Midport Village, where they can interact with beloved movie characters, undertake missions, and collect exclusive in-game items. Players will hear voiceovers from Jack Black, portraying Steve in the film, and will team up with characters played by Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Hansen to navigate a variety of minigames. The multiplayer aspect of the event ensures that players can tackle challenges collaboratively. Successfully completing all five games will reward players with an exclusive item—the Yearn cape.
This exciting event, unveiled during Minecraft Live, kicks off on March 25 at 3 PM PT/6 PM ET, lasting until April 7 at the same times.
