Milo Ventimiglia, known for his role in This Is Us, is set to join the cast of the highly anticipated sequel, I Can Only Imagine 2. This follow-up to the 2018 biographical drama will feature Ventimiglia as singer/songwriter Tim Timmons.

I Can Only Imagine 2 will be helmed by directors Brent McCorkle and Andrew Erwin, with McCorkle penning the screenplay. Ventimiglia will be joined by returning cast members John Michael Finley as Bart Millard, Dennis Quaid as Arthur, and Trace Adkins as MercyMe’s manager Scott Brickell. Production is in collaboration with Lionsgate and the Kingdom Story Company, under the guidance of producers Millard, Erwin, Kevin Downes, Cindy Bond, Daryl Lefever, and Joshua Walsh.

The original cast also featured Madeline Carroll, Gianna Simone, Priscilla Shirer, Tanya Clarke, and the late Cloris Leachman.
