Mew, the iconic Danish band, is set to conclude its musical journey with a series of farewell shows, coinciding with their 30th anniversary next year. Fans can look forward to two special performances marking this significant milestone.
Formed in 1995, Mew consists of vocalist Jonas Bjerre, drummer Silas Utke Graae Jørgensen, bassist Johan Wohlert, and guitarist Bo Madsen. The band debuted with their album A Triumph for Man in 1997 and gained prominence under Sony Music, with notable releases such as Frengers and And the Glass Handed Kites. After Madsen’s departure in 2015, Mew released their last studio album, Visuals, in 2017.
In a heartfelt message, Jonas Bjerre expressed gratitude to their loyal fans, stating, "Next year marks the 30th anniversary of Mew! It’s been quite a journey that has brought me and my bandmates on countless adventures. I am grateful for the unwavering support from our fans. While I am embarking on a new chapter, I look forward to performing these farewell shows with my dear friends."
