Medical University Hosts ‘Freedom Run’ Event

In a vibrant celebration of fitness and patriotism, hundreds of young participants took part in a marathon event organized by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University on Sunday. Dubbed the ‘Freedom Run,’ the marathon was a key highlight leading up to the 78th Independence Day festivities, aligning with the national initiative, Har Ghar Tiranga (Tricolour in Every House). The event was inaugurated by Governor and Chancellor R.N. Ravi, marking a significant occasion for college students, youth, and fitness enthusiasts who gathered at Olcott School in Besant Nagar to participate. This community-driven event not only promoted health and wellness but also instilled a sense of national pride among the participants.
