Maxwell has unveiled a studio version of Al Green’s classic track “Simply Beautiful,” which he has performed live for years. This new recording showcases the artistry and craftsmanship that Maxwell is known for.
Working with esteemed producers Hod David and Shedrick Mitchell, Maxwell brought together a talented ensemble for the project. “We had the best of the best come out to be a part of the recording, from the horns to the strings to the vocalists,” he stated, highlighting the exceptional quality of the collaboration. “They sound amazing. This is really magical.”
In addition to this release, Maxwell is set to kick off the Serenade Tour next month, featuring performances alongside Jazmine Sullivan and October London. Fans anticipate the follow-up to his 2016 album, blackSUMMERS’night, as he continues to build momentum for his next project, Night.
