Max Verstappen contemplates a potential departure from Formula 1, expressing his discontent over the sanction imposed by the FIA following his remarks after the Grand Prix of Baku.
In a surprising turn, the Dutch driver hinted at the possibility of not returning to F1, fueled by frustration regarding the ruling against him, despite his pursuit of yet another racing championship.
“Of course. Yes. I mean, these kinds of things definitely also influence my future. When you can’t be yourself, you have to deal with this kind of nonsense.”

“I believe that I’m at a stage in my career where I don’t want to be dealing with this all the time. It’s exhausting,” stated “Mad Max”, who is currently in a fierce competition with Lando Norris from McLaren.
The three-time world champion finished in second place at the Grand Prix of Singapore, marking the eighth consecutive race where Verstappen has not secured a victory, with his last win occurring at the Grand Prix of Spain.
“Of course, it’s great to be successful and win races, but once you’ve achieved all that, winning championships and races, you also want to enjoy it. Everyone is pushing to the limit.”
“Everyone in this battle, even those at the back of the grid. But if you have to deal with this kind of nonsense: for me, that’s not a way to continue in the sport, that’s for sure,” he concluded.
MAX VERSTAPPEN NO LONGER NEEDS TO WIN A GRAND PRIX TO BE CROWNED F1 CHAMPION
In a dramatic finish at the Grand Prix of Singapore, veteran Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, on fresh soft tires, snatched the fastest lap from Lando Norris, which could potentially be his final stint in the F1 circuit.
This move allowed Norris to gain seven points on Verstappen, rather than the eight he needed.
Thanks to the point lost by Norris, starting in Austin, if Verstappen finishes second in the next six races and in the three Sprint events, even if Norris wins them all with the fastest lap, Max will secure his fourth world title.
