The University of Benin has clarified the details surrounding the recent donation of female hostels to the institution. The announcement, made on Friday, highlights that the contributions were made by Senator Daisy Danjuma (nee Ehanire).
In an official statement issued by the University’s Public Relations Officer, it was emphasized that clarity is necessary due to recent misreporting in the media. The statement clarified that the initial hostel donation was generously provided by General Theophilus Danjuma, while the subsequent two hostels—including one recently opened and another still under construction—are entirely voluntary donations from Senator Daisy Ehanire-Danjuma.
