A tragic incident unfolded in Mangaluru, Karnataka, where a 40-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh reportedly took his own life after posting a video implicating a woman he was involved with in his despair. The deceased, identified as Abhishek Singh, was an employee at a private company in Chennai and had traveled to Mangaluru to attend an exhibition.
Before his death, Singh recorded a video alleging that Monika Sihag, his partner, had deceived him by hiding her existing marriage and child. According to his brother’s police complaint, Singh was heartbroken after learning that Sihag had refused his marriage proposal due to her undisclosed family situation.
Reportedly, Singh had lent Sihag a substantial sum, estimated between Rs 10-15 lakh. On March 1, following his devastating discovery, he shared videos and photos on social media blaming Sihag for his emotional turmoil. Tragically, he was later found deceased in his lodge room.
Authorities in Karnataka have registered a case for abetment of suicide under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and an investigation is currently underway.
