Near the end of December, Keanu Reeves is set to voice Shadow the Hedgehog in the highly anticipated film Sonic the Hedgehog 3. In an exciting development revealed during a recent event, Reeves will also lend his voice to Shadow in December as part of a DLC release for Sonic x Shadow Generations.
A brief teaser for the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack DLC showcased Shadow’s adventures in Tokyo, which serves as one of the major settings of the upcoming film.
In a statement, a representative from the development team mentioned that the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack is designed as “bonus content” and is not directly tied to the storyline of Shadow Generations. They emphasized that while this DLC is separate, Shadow’s controls will mirror those found in the main game.
The team expressed their commitment to creating an enjoyable environment that accurately reflects Tokyo, citing their research trips to the area for inspiration. They noted, “Playing as Shadow in a real existing city adds a unique layer of excitement.”
Sonic x Shadow Generations is set to launch on all consoles and PC on October 25, with the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie Pack arriving on December 12. This DLC will also be included in the Sonic x Shadow Generations Digital Deluxe Edition.
