Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has officially resumed his duties following a one-month break. He had entrusted leadership responsibilities to his Deputy, Faruk Lawal, before commencing his leave on July 18, 2024.
In an official statement, Radda’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, detailed the objectives of the governor’s upcoming interactions during his visit to the People’s Republic of China. This trip marks Radda’s first significant undertaking since his return, with the Deputy Governor having served in an acting capacity.
Governor Radda has embarked on a five-day official visit to China from August 18 to 23, 2024, as part of his administration’s commitment to enhancing global partnerships. He is accompanied by a team of key government officials to explore investment opportunities and strengthen bilateral relations.
Upon arrival at Daxing International Airport in Beijing, the governor was welcomed by a local host, William Lui. Notable members of Radda’s delegation include his Principal Private Secretary, Abdullahi Turaji; the Commissioner for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Prof. Ahmed Bakori; the Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, and Investment, Adnan Habu; and Lead Consultant Haroun Gana.
During the visit, the governor’s team is set to engage with Chinese officials, investors, and manufacturers specializing in heavy-duty equipment and agricultural tools, reinforcing Katsina State’s commitment to economic growth and development.
